Kerala Vijay Fans Protested Against Cinema Strike

It's almost one month over but strike between producers and distributors association in Kerala seems to be never-ending. No new Malayalam movies has beeen released since 16th December. The condition got worsened when Kerala exhibitors decided to shut the theatres under its purview from Thursday. The Kerala Film Exhibitors Federation held a press conference in which they announced it's decision.

Exhibitors association, President Liberty Basheer told, '' The decision to shut down theatres were taken unanimously. But, we are open for talks with the government to resolve the dispute.'', He also added , ''More than 350 screens out of the total 520 in Kerala, which are part of the federation, will down their shutters indefinitely if producers and distributors refuse to give into their demands.''
As the condition got worsened no superstars or their fans interfered into the matter or voiced their opinion.

But as Superstar Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s latest movie Bairavaa is going to release on 12th January. Fans of Vijay from Kollam district took up on themselves and around 100 members attended a protest march near the main releasing centres in the district.

Bairavaa will be released in Kerala only in multiplex's Screen theatres run by the state government and non-federation members. The Kerala distributor of the Tamil film has also warned the protesting theatre owners of legal action if they fail to honour their prior agreement.
