 Ramaleela is a Malayalam Politico-Crime-Thriller movie, After many protests because of Dilip arrest in Actress abduction case the release was delayed. Ramaleela is based on the story of Ramaunni ( Dileep ) an advocate by profession and son of a veteran leader of CDP a communist party. Ramaunni tries his luck in politics and with his skill and clever mind becomes the MLA of the party. For Ramaunni self-respect is everything and when he gets insulted by a state secretary of party he assaults him and gets expelled from the party. To take revenge back he joins the rival party of NSP, he gets selected for the main candidate for upcoming elections


Ramaunni news becomes viral and a number of followers as well as rivals increases, after getting threat for rivalry Ramaunni decides to keep a licensed gun for protection. Meanwhile for election campaign when Ramaunni and his friend Thomas Chacko ( Kalabhavan Shanoj ) visits a football match one of it's party leader gets assassinated and Ramaunni and Thomas Chacko becomes the prime suspect. How Ramaunni proves himself? How does he run from police custody? Who is the mastermind behind all these?
