Adi Kapyare Kootamani - Movie Review

Adi Kapyare Kootamani movie revolves around the incidents taking place in boys hostel after a girl enters in the hostel. The movie shows the life of hostel in which there is Father Alfred Kattuvilayil ( Mukesh ) a strict warden and his assistant Shaanthappan (Bijukuttan) who always wants to show mischiefs of the Boys to the Father, But always fails.  Adhishta Lakshmi wants to enter the Boys hostel and luckily she meets Bhanuprasad (Dhyan Sreenivasan) in college canteen who is in need of money as he lost his gold chain by lending it for his friend. She offers him Twenty Thousand rupee if he help her to enter the boys hostel. Bhanuprasad agrees for the deal. That night he smuggles her to Boys hostel.But when he tries to get her out the way blocks.

 

That night both stay in Bhanu's room. Lakshmi ties Bhanu's hand to a table and plans to leave by three'o'clock. But both sleeps and wakes, when Bhanu's friend Bruno (Aju Varghese) knocks his door. Bhanu skips college and tries to get her out. But again the escape route was blocked by Father and Shanthappan. He tries to get her out through the Main entrance but, college was closed for some strike and the students came back to the hostel. Both stays in Bhanu's room for the whole day planning to escape from the terrace that night.

 

  Bhanu goes to the terrace to check, there sees his friends Bruno, Koshy (Vineeth Mohan) and Remo (Neeraj Madhav) drinking.. They force him to drink and he forgets about Lakshmi. At that time Shanthappan goes near Bhanu's, he hears Lakshmi speaking in her sleep in tamil. He thinks that it is a ghost he takes the key from Bhanu's pocket and opens the door. Lakshmi kicks him and run out of the room. Next Father comes with Shanthappan to check Bhanu's. Bhanu opens the room in tension and is surprised not to see Lakshmi. He then finds that his friends came to know about Lakshmi and they together makes plans to get her out. Lakshmi tells them the reason why she came to hostel that She had a lover Premraj who was a Casanova, who was in the hostel, and after he broke up with her she wanted to take revenge. She slaps her and takes the revenge. How she gets out of the hostel forms the climax of the movie.
